Many summers ago, Cold Stone Creamery had a limited edition ice cream – Blueberry Muffin Batter. It was maybe the best ice cream I’ve ever tried (besides Ben & Jerry’s “The Tonight Dough”). I made a smoothie bowl the other night that tastes PRETTY damn close. It was so good in fact, that I felt guilty eating it. Protein shake, ice, water, fruit, and why yes, some dark chocolate. Not unhealthy, at all!
I get bored with protein shakes sometimes, and this allows me a different way to consume them, plus it helps me up my intake of fruit – a win win! I also loooooovvvveeeeeee chia seeds, and they give smoothie bowls a delicious texture.
Herbalife Blueberry Muffin Batter Smoothie Bowl
For the smoothie:
4 oz of cold water
2 scoops of Herbalife Cookies and Cream Meal Replacement Mix
2 scoops of Herbalife Vanilla PDM Protein Powder
½ cup blueberries
4-6 ice cubes (start with 4)
Half a Banana
Dark Chocolate Chips
Combine your water (NOTE: You could also use milk), powders, blueberries, and puree. Add one ice cube at a time until your smoothie is the consistency you want. I will say that too many ice cubes takes away from the flavor. Pour into a bowl, and top with your favorite ingredients! I just got some blood oranges and these would have been to die for on top. This was so good, my roommate was eye-balling it! 😉
